Kingsley Smith is a licensed professional fiduciary in California and a National Certified Guardian, leading the expansion of Lotus Fiduciary Group into California. With a steadfast commitment to the firm’s mission—honoring your wishes and protecting your assets—he has played a pivotal role in growing the business to serve a broader range of clients with integrity and expertise. 

His Story

With over 30 years of experience as a television executive, Kingsley managed complex situations, multi-million-dollar budgets, and high-profile projects. His ability to navigate high-stakes decision-making, financial oversight, and risk management translates seamlessly into his fiduciary practice, where he provides thoughtful, ethical, and strategic financial management for his clients.

Kingsley specializes in trust and estate administration, conservatorships, and financial oversight. He works closely with seniors, high-net-worth individuals, and families facing complex financial and legal dynamics, always prioritizing transparency, advocacy, and client well-being.

In addition to his fiduciary work, Kingsley has been an adjunct professor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication since 2014, bringing his expertise in communication and leadership to the next generation of professionals.

Kingsley holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Emory University and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Queensland University in Brisbane, Australia. As part of his fiduciary licensing, he completed the California State University, Fullerton Fiduciary Program. He is an active member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) and the National Guardianship Association (NGA), staying at the forefront of industry best practices and regulatory compliance.

 

Originally from Tyler, Texas, Kingsley has lived across the country before settling in Los Angeles in 2011. He and his wife, Robin, split their time between Los Angeles and Palm Desert, where they enjoy traveling, hosting gatherings, and playing the occasional friendly game of pickleball. They have three children and two beloved dogs.
